Game week 16 Shrewd Moves

Rotational Harmony

The festive schedule is almost upon us. The fixture ticker now includes all of these and you should really be keeping an eye on the options you will need for that period. Last week, we saw the first instalment of the busy season with three games inside a week. Looking further ahead, the potential pitfalls look even more ominous. Two more weeks of action is followed by three games in the space of only 6 days. To expect all your big names to appear on the team sheet every time is just a fallacy doomed for failure. Game week 16 Preview

Well, hello, y’all. Gameweek sixteen is upon us and I would imagine quite a few of our players are tied up in just two, potentially tough games, this week. Saturday sees Manchester City take on Arsenal at Eastlands, whilst Tottenham Hotspur play Liverpool at White Hart Lane, the following day. Sergio Aguero netted, sure, but no bonus points etc and the others, your Yaya Youre, Aaron Ramsey and wotnot were virtually non-existent. Indeed, a flick through the top scorers in your big points areas, over the round, bring up some un-’usual suspects’; Andre Schurrle, Leory Fer and Steve Sidwell take the first three places in midfield and Suarez aside, Pablo Osvaldo, Marouane Chamakh and Cameron Jerome take the next three places up front. A look beyond that is similar, with Dimitar Berbatov, Gary Hooper and Peter Crouch following. Continue reading

Gameweek 15 – Shrewd Moves The Hangover

Goals. The biggest celebration of the game we love. And there was enough of it on Wednesday night for everyone to have a piece. 32 goals in one night and we were left reeling. But for once, it was all good news. Those goal updates that kept streaming in (from the @ffmiphone app) had us punching the air, jumping around the house, hurling obscenities at the TV and finally almost bringing us to tears in sheer delight. One man single-handedly gave us a night to remember, as we passed out on our bed, smiling stupidly, drunk on points. Continue reading
